Burundi
United Nations Operation in Burundi (ONUB) established following Arusha Agreement. DDR operations begin the same year. In 2009, demobilization officially concludes.
Haiti
United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) established with a mandate to assist Haitian authorities with comprehensive and sustainable DDR programmes for all armed groups. In 2006, the Security Council for the first time mandates a CVR programme.
